Top class mare Arinosa will race in Sydney this weekend leaving the all-conquering Chris Waller stable without a runner in the Group 1 $650,000 James Boag’s Premium Doomben 10,000 (1350m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Waller will have to rely on his up and coming two year old Brazen Beau to fly the flag for the stable in the Group 2 $250,000 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) with Arinosa to go around in the $85,000 At Sea Handicap (1100m) at Randwick on Saturday.
Arinosa and Tougher Than Ever were Waller’s only two runners left in the Doomben 10,000 list at first acceptance time last week but the premiership winning trainer will have to wait until next year to try to win the coveted Doomben weight for age sprint.
“Arinosa will run here in Sydney on Saturday and we won’t have a starter in the Doomben 10,000,” Waller told Racing Network.
Arinosa was a two time Group 2 winner in 2013 but the Dash For Cash mare struggled to regain her best form during the Melbourne and Sydney Autumn Carnivals.
The grey mare won the Group 2 $175,000 Belvedere Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Randwick just over twelve months again then took out the Group 2 $200,000 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in the Spring.
Waller kicked off the Brisbane Winter Carnival with a boom with Brazen Beau scoring a comfortable win over Looks Like The Cat in the Group 2 $175,000 Bollinger Champagne Classic (1200m) at Doomben on May 10.
“He’s come through the Champagne well and will run in the Sires, and Danchai will run in the Premier’s Cup,” Waller said.
Waller has also nominated five for the Group 3 $125,000 Channel Seven Premier’s Cup (2200m) with Danchai the likely stable representative while three year old Villanova looks set to take his place in the Group 3 $150,000 Mullins Lawyers Grand Prix Stakes (2200m).
Danchi will be up against Pretty Pins again after running second to the John Thompson trained mare in the Group 3 $125,000 Landfill Logistics Chairman’s Handicap (2000m) at Doomben on May 10.
While Vilanova will be taking on similar opposition after finishing fourth to Amexed in the Group 3 $125,000 Mittys Rough Habit Plate (2000m) at Doomben on the same day.
The Gary Portelli trained Rebel Dane at $3.80 holds a slight edge over Buffering at $4 in the market order for the Doomben 10,000 with Ladbrokes.com.au.
BTC Cup runner up Spirit Of Boom is also well in contention at $5 while Knoydart is marked at $9 and BTC Cup winner Famous Seamus is a $10 chance.
