Americain’s new trainer is David Hayes

David Hayes has confirmed he is the new trainer for 2010 Melbourne Cup winner Americain.
The former Alain de-Royer-Dupre trained entire will go to Hayes’ Euroa stable this weekend.
He will be freshened and aimed for an autumn campaign in Australia.
Americain will be targeted at the Group 1s Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington and BMW (2400m) at Rosehill.
Hayes wants to to protect Americain from firm tracks.
He would miss the Ausrtralian Cup if the track was too firm and substitute it for the Ranvet (2000m) at Rosehill in Sydney if appropriate.
The great stayer’s French handler Stephanie Nigge will join the Hayes stable.
