The Chris Waller trained Always Allison lived up to expectations with a tough win over Speak Fondly in the Group 2 $175,000 Les Johnson Memorial Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on February 28.

Always Allison isn’t nominated for the Group 1 $3.5m Tooheys New Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on March 21 and Waller and her connections are still contemplating if they are to pay the $150,000 late entry fee to gain a spot in the richest two year old race in the world.

If Always Allison races well this week and doesn’t go to the Golden Slipper, Waller will aim her towards the Group 1 $1m ATC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on April 4.

Exceed And Excel filly Navua Mist from the Waller stable is also nominated for the Magic Night Stakes.

The Gai Waterhouse trained Speak Fondly will take on Always Allison again and the master two year old trainer has also nominated Carriages and Right Of Way.

Carriages will be having her first run since finishing eighth to Le Chef in the $2m Jeep Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 10 while Right Of Way has also had a freshen up since returning from Queensland where she ran third to Mishani Honcho in the $150,000 Coastline BMW Racing Minister’s 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Sunshine Coast on January 17.

The powerful John O’Shea stable has only nominated two fillies for the Magic Night Stakes, Denman filly Igraine and Domesday filly Italy.

Four times Golden Slipper winning trainer Clarry Conners has nomimated Look To The Stars and Mowgli.

While Mowgli is yet to win a race from two starts, Look To The Stars found her way to the winner’s stall at her fourth race start in taking out a two year old midweek race at Warwick Farm on March 4.

David Hayes and Tom Dabernig have nominated Haybah who is a winner twice from seven starts including a last start victory in the Listed $80,000 Cinderella Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on February 28.
