Multi-million dollar colt All Too Hard has won a trial at Randwick this morning ahead of his final Australian start in Saturday week’s Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m).

The half-brother to Black Caviar was positioned towards the back of the six-horse field in the 1050m hit-out before bursting through the centre in the final 200m.

With regular jockey Dwayne Dunn aboard he passed the post a head in front of Academus and Your Song.

After next weekend’s Randwick test, All Too Hard will head to England for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

Vinery Stud have confirmed the Queen Anne will be the half-brother to Black Caviar’s final race before he joins their stallion ranks for the 2013 breeding season.

“All Too Hard is back in Sydney and will run on the 27th in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes, he will then fly the flag at Royal Ascot before taking his place in the Vinery Stallion barn this Spring,” Vinery General Manager Peter Orton said.

The triple Group 1 winner will stand for an incredible $66,000 in his first season, a fee that Orton believes is well and truly justified.

“The inclusion of All Too Hard marks a significant step in the continued development of the Vinery stallion roster,” he said.

“This colt is a triple Group 1 winner to date, having defeated the best of his generation and is himself one of the most physically imposing types you will see.”

All Too Hard hasn’t been seen at the races since February when to took out both the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes and the Group 1 Futurity Stakes.

He is likely to face a far stronger field in the All Aged where he will be given the chance to prove her can succeed in the Sydney direction, having won just once from five starts in the harbour city.
