Aerobatics has more in stall after Sprint Series FInal win

Darley’s head trainer Peter Snowden is certain that Aerobatics will go on and win more races over the Melbourne Spring Carnival after winning the Group 3 $135,000 Sportingbet Sprint Series Final (1200m) at Caulfield today.

Snowden will check the programs before selecting Aerobatics next mission but believes she will be competitive in anything that she contests over the Carnival.

“We’ll just see. There is a couple of nice fillies races, a big one at the end of Cup week, but her form is going to warrant it. We believe if circumstances fall right for her, she’s a definite chance,” Snowden said.

Snowden thought that Kerrin McEvoy had made his move too early but was happy that Aerobatics ($9) was able to hang on to win by a neck over Assertive Eagle ($5) who made a late charge on the line.

“He probably went a little bit too soon. She’s got a really good two hundred metre sprint. Kerrin just went around them a little bit too quick.”

“It was a great effort because she missed a run two weeks ago so it’s good to recover like that and Paul did a good job to get up for today.”

“Her work has been brilliant. He were bitterly disappointed that he couldn’t run her at Moonee Valley. He did the right thing not running her and the result was here today.”

Favourite Shamal Wind ($3.20) had the run of the race but couldn’t match it with Aerobatics when the mare breezed past and faded in the straight to wind up in fifth spot.
