That is the tale of the tape in 2016 Tasmanian Stakes betting markets, where the talented five-year-old has continued to firm into a current quote of $1.90 to win the feature race.

Admiral has been the star of Tasmanian racing for much of his twenty-four start career since debuting in the late stages of 2013, and will carry a record of fourteen wins and five minors into the Tasmanian Stakes 2016.

Making a rare mainland appearance when sixth in the Listed Caulfield Village Stakes (1200m) on October 12th, the Mossman gelding returned to Tasmanian for third in the Listed Tasmanian Newmarket (1200m) on November 16th before taking out the Listed Conquering WFA (1400m) last time out on December 7th.

Admiral will jump from the rails draw with in-form hoop Luke Currie aboard and will relish the conditions of the Tasmanian Stakes; a race he won by close to two lengths in 2015.

Hellova Street boxed on to finish runner-up behind Admiral in the Conquering WFA, and subsequently figures as the sole occupant of the second line of Tasmanian Stakes betting at a $6 quote.

Resuming this time for a smart win in the Tasmanian Goodwood Handicap (12100m) on November 1st, Hellova Street was far from disgraced when sixth in the Tasmanian Newmarket, in what was his only other start prior to the Conquering WFA.

Jerilderie Letter has returned to racing in typically smart form this time and remains a third favourite in Tasmanian Stakes betting markets at $7 odds.

Jerilderie Letter has been the stable star for Adam Trinder in 2016 and is proven performer at the class, distance and conditions of the Tasmanian Stakes.

As a three-year-old, Jerilderie Letter won each of the Listed Tasmanian Guineas (1600m), Listed Hobart Guineas (21000m) and Listed Tasmanian Derby (2200m) in succession; beating home subsequent Group 1 winner Howard Be Thy Name in the latter.

While unable to return to winning form since, the Bushranger gelding relished a step up in distance when third in the Conquering WFA last time out and will only improve at a mile in the Tasmanian Stakes.

Geegees Goldengirl ($9.50) is the only other runner currently available at Tasmanian Stakes odds of less-than $10 with Ladbrokes Australia.
