Christopher Shadforth

Racing Writer

Chris is a 25-year-old writer from Brisbane with a keen interest in horse racing tipping. He may be a bit inclined to gamble on long chances from time to time, but that just means bigger payouts when his gut feeling is right.

He first became interested in horses due to jousting; however, he soon found that horse racing was a bit more relevant to today’s audience and writing a lot less bruising. It was only a short leap for Chris to merge the two passions and end up writing about horse racing, leaving his street jousting days behind him.

Aside from the Australian horse racing industry, Chris likes to follow the UK and Irish jumps seasons. While he thinks that Australian flat racing is tremendously exciting over the mile, he finds National Hunt chases to be an impressive test of skill and endurance for both horses and jockeys and when not writing for HorseRacing.com.au Chris moonlights for the UK’s best horse racing portal, HorseRacing.co.uk.

When not writing about horse racing of all kinds, Chris works on getting impressive bruises while fencing or trying to slide tackle people on the dodgeball court.
