A fresh Miracles Of Life ready for Challenge Stakes

Trainer Paul Snowden is expecting another bold first up effort from pint sized sprinter Miracles Of Life when she resumes in the Group 2 $400,000 Hyland Race Colours Challenge Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Miracles Of Life will be having her first start since finishing seventh to Vain Queen in the Group 3 $200,000 G.H. Mumm Stakes (1100m) at Flemington during the 2014 Melbourne Cup Carnival and Snowden said that the stable has taken a softer approach in her preparation for her Autumn Carnival campaign.

“While she is very forward and I think will be very hard to beat tomorrow, she will go into the race on a softer approach,” Snowden, who trains in partnership with his father Peter, told Racing Network.

“She has only trialled once, but she has done plenty of beach work and she does seem to be as sharp as always.”

Snowden is very happy with the way Miracles Of Life has come up this preparation and is certain she can repeat her first up effort in the Spring when she dead heated for first with Bel Sprinter in the Group 2 $200,000 Perri Cutten Caulfield Sprint (1100m) at Caulfield.

“It’s a real credit to her that she still has the same zest and seems to be every bit as good now as she was when she went into that race at Caulfield in the spring first-up and won,” Snowden said.

Miracles Of  Life was given one barrier trial in the lead up to her return to the race track and finished third to Sweet Idea and Challenge Stakes rival Rubick in an 800m heat at Randwick on February 23.

The Gerald Ryan trained Rubick is also resuming for the Autumn and has been marked as the $3.10 favourite for the Challenge Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Knoydart, from the John O’Shea stable, is the second pick at $6 with Miracles Of Life on the third line of betting at $7 just ahead of Villa Verde at $8.50 and Famous Seamus at $9.
