Pasadena Girl was purchased with the idea that she would develop into a Crown Oaks filly, but the daughter of Savabeel has already achieve a great deal during her racing career to date.

She made her racing debut with a surprise win in the Listed Talindert Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on February 21 and she took out the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (1200m) at the same venue on March 14 before she finished an unlucky fourth in the Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on April 6.

Pasadena Girl showed her staying credentials with her comfortable victory in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick on April 18 and she returned to the races with a fast-finishing second in the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 5.

Stay With Me defeated Pasadena Girl to take out the Atlantic Jewel Stakes and the blueblood filly is a chance to replicate the feat of her dam Miss Finland and take out the Crown Oaks.

The daughter of Street Cry performed fairly without winning in her two race starts as a two-year-old and she started her 2015 Spring Racing Carnival campaign with a soft win at Pakenham on August 20 before her impressive Atlantic Jewel Stakes win.

Another last start winner that could head towards the 2015 Crown Oaks is Tony McEvoy-trained Don’t Doubt Mamma, who was only narrowly denied by Stay With Me and Pasadena Girl in the Atlantic Jewel Stakes.

Don’t Doubt Mamma franked the form coming out of the Atlantic Jewel Stakes when she took out the MRC Foundation Plate (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday and she is set to run in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) before she presses on to the Crown Oaks.

Mike Moroney won the 2010 edition of the Crown Oaks with Brazilian Pulse and he believes that he is capable of winning this year’s race with Alaskan Rose.

Alaskan Rose has recorded two wins from as many starts, but she will face the toughest test of her racing to career to date when she contests the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Other notable horses that have been included in the 2015 Crown Oaks nominations include Air Apparent, Bengal Cat, Don’t Doubt Marley, Payroll, Perignon, Reemah, Sacred Eye, Sagaronne and Sempre Libera.
