The Victoria Derby is the highlight and it is set to be one of the most open races in the historic of the three-year-olds classic as you can make a case for just about every horse in the field.

It is Ace High that is currently a narrow favourite in the betting market with Ladbrokes, but there is very little between him Tangled ($7), Main Stage ($7), Weather With You ($7.50), Astoria ($8) and Sully ($8.50).

There are three other Group 1 races on the Victoria Derby Day card and all three are set to be just as competitive as the Victoria Derby.

The Coolmore Stud Stakes may be the most open Group 1 of the entire Spring Racing Carnival and it is Viridine ($8) that is currently locked in a battle with Invincible Star for favouritism, while you can also make a case for Catchy ($8.50), Trapeze Artist ($9) and Eptimum ($9.50).

It is Gai Waterhouse-trained Global Glamour that is currently a clear favourite in the 2017 Myer Classic betting market with Ladbrokes at a quote of $5, while the enigmatic Tom Melbourne is the punter’s elect in what is a very competitive edition of the Kennedy Mile.

The 2017 Victoria Derby Day results will be updated all afternoon long at horseracing.com.au and there is no better place to stay involved in all of the Derby Day action.
