Some of the season’s best three-year-old fillies are set to descend on Eagle Farm Racecourse on June 3rd following the release of eighty-five 2017 Queensland Oaks nominations this morning.

Kenedna, Harlow Gold and Egg Tart are prominent in betting for Saturday’s Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) at Morphettville and all remain on track for a trip to Brisbane after being included in 2017 Queensland Oaks nominations.
Kenedna has been a strong and consistent performer for Darren Weir through her entire racing career so far, but has undoubtedly found her best for yet through a glittering 2017 campaign.
Running on to claim a smart win in the Group 3 The Vanity (1400m) on February 18th, the Not A Single Doubt filly ran a credible third in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1400m) second-up and has since posted consecutive wins in the Listed Laelia Stakes (1600m) and Group 3 Auraria Stakes (1800m).
Harlow Gold has shown plenty of ability throughout her entire racing career so far and could very well be faced with her best chance of a maiden win at the highest level in the 2017 Queensland Oaks.
Ending a smart 2016 preparation second behind Lasqueti Spirit in the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m), the Tavistock filly returned to the races this year for a smart third in The Vanity before attacking the line for fourth in the talent-rich Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m).
Progressing to third in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m), Harlow Gold was last seen running fourth in the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m) on Day 2 of The Championships.
Egg Tart is yet to be test in black type company, but the filly is more than worthy of a position in Queensland Oaks nominations and her ability is sure to be more obvious following this weekend’s Australasian Oaks.
Returned to the paddock after she won the TAB Rewards Maiden (1550m) at Canterbury on November 30th, the Sebring filly is yet to taste anything but success this time in; winning each of her three starts including the Auckland Racing Club Trophy (1600m) by three lengths at Flemington on April 25th.
The likes of Sebring Dream and Smart As You Think have also been included in 2017 Queensland Oaks nominations.
Sebring Dream has returned to racing a far-more furnished horse in 2017 and has found excellent form leading into the Brisbane winter.
Running third in the Group 3 Alexandra Stakes (1600m) on March 24th, the Sebring filly placed a credible fourth in the Buyaracehorse.com.au Handicap (1600m) before placing third in the Auraria Stakes at her most-recent appearance.
Smart As You Think was severely hampered and checked before finishing seventh in the Vinery Stud Stakes on March 25th and could very well have been in the winner’s stall with better luck.
Having run on well for sixth in the Auraria Stakes last time out, the So You Think filly’s chance in the Queensland Oaks could hinge on how well she performs in the Australasian Oaks on Saturday.
