2017 Queen Elizabeth Stakes Tips: Winx In A Canter

There is no surprises about who is on the top of the 2017 Queen Elizabeth Stakes tips of Deane Lester and the leading form analyst could not be more confident that Winx will continue on her winning ways.

Winx has not lost a race since she finished second behind Gust Of Wind in the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m) at this very meeting two years ago and she goes into the Queen Elizabeth Stakes as an unbackable favourite.

The daughter of Street Cry has recorded scintillating victories in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m), Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) and Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) and Lester is adamant the winning streak will continue.

“It would take horrific bad luck, but that shouldn’t be happening,” Lester told RSN.

“She should go around a winner.

“It is a curious mindset though because if she was in the Cox Plate she wouldn’t scare away as many as she has here.

“For a field of nine it has a very long tail to it and she will be going on her winning way up to number 17.

“It is all about her and she is in the rockstar category like Black Caviar now.

“You go and watch the show.

“That is what she will put on.”

Hartnell and Happy Clapper are on the second and third line of betting respective in the 2017 Queen Elizabeth Stakes betting market with Ladbrokes and Lester really does not believe that there will be any surprises in the Group 1 event.

“Hartnell is there and he can probably finish second,” Lester said.

“Happy Clapper ran well in the race last year and is back in the race again, while Exospheric is suited over 2000 metres.”

Winx is currently available at 2017 Queen Elizabeth Stakes odds of $1.10 with Ladbrokes and is a dominant favourite from Hartnell ($14), Happy Clapper ($17), The United States ($26) and Exospheric ($41).
