2017 Doomben Cup Results: Sense Of Occasion Wins

The 2017 Doomben Cup Day results will be updated throughout the afternoon at horseracing.com.au and we are set for a big day of racing.

Wet weather looked as though it would plague the Doomben Cup meeting, but the sun is shining in Brisbane today and there has been no rain this morning.

The Doomben track will still be in the heavy range, but it is unlikely to be the bottomless heavy 10 track that was expected earlier in the week.

All eyes will be focused on the Doomben Cup this afternoon and it really is set to be one of the most competitive races of the 2017 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.

Doncaster Mile winner It’s Somewhat is currently a narrow favourites, but there has been money for German import Articus, Darren Weir-trained Amelie’s Star and Queen Elizabeth Stakes placegetter Sense Of Occasion.

Keep coming back to horseracing.com.au all afternoon and we will keep you updated with all the results throughout Doomben Cup Day.
