Form expert Daniel O’Sullivan has Kermadec on top of his 2015 George Main Stakes tips and he believes that the talented entire is one of the best bets anywhere in the country tomorrow.

Kermadec started his 2015 Spring Racing Carnival with a credible fifth behind Royal Descent in the Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on August 22 before he finished a tough second in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) at the same venue on September 5 and O’Sullivan told RSN that he believes the Doncaster Mile winner is ready to peak in the 2015 George Main Stakes at Royal Randwick this weekend.

“I think that we just get on Kermadec,” O’Sullivan said.

“I think that he profiles superbly here.

“He has been really good in two runs from a spell, especially last start when he was caught wide and covered extra ground.

“It looked like he really had the race shot to bits part way up the straight, but then his condition gave out and he couldn’t run down Complacent.

“It was a nice ratings improvement on his first-up run and in his two preparations so far at his third-up he has taken another step ahead in his ratings.

“He comes into this race with the best last start figure and a really strong profile of improving third-up.

“His peak suggests that he will be the best horse in this race.

“He is very, very probable of running to a performance that will be extremely hard for anything to match.”

Kermadec did not have any luck in running in the Chelmsford Stakes throughout, but O’Sullivan believes that the four-year-old will get the run of the race when he jumps from barrier five with Glyn Schofield in the saddle in the 2015 George Main Stakes.

“He positions up beautifully and it looks like he just falls into the one, one position without doing any work at all,” O’Sullivan said.

“He is going to be able to peel at the top of the straight there and be nice and balanced coming up the rise, find the right lane on the track and be super hard to beat.

“There are little knocks around a lot of other horses and anything $2.50 or better is more than an acceptable price.”

Kermadec is currently available at 2015 George Main Stakes odds of $2.70 with Ladbrokes and he is a clear favourite from Royal Descent ($4.40), Lucia Valentina ($7) and Pornichet ($7).
